There’s a long time since I want to collecting and post about this article here. Yes, I want to write about Silent Assasin and Professional Agent who capable to kill without footstep or fingerprint even a dot, even if the assasination target guarded by his bodyguard around him.
Ups, We talk about computer and/or console game here, of course, hehehe…
Why write about it? is it important? Absolutely not important
, I want to write about this just because this is my favourite game genre, yes, I like stealth action shooter game genre. I like sneaking into enemy base, killing person without anyone know, clearing mission without harmed any enemy component, I think this is art of war and not so many person having ability like this.
First time I am falling in love with this genre is when I play Syphon Filter at PS1 Console, it’s about 10 year ago. Beside falling in love with this game genre, I also like collecting information about modern hand weapon(gun, pistol, riffle, machine gun) because of it.
Gabriel Logan From Syphon Filter
Gabriel Logan is an agent for the International Presidential Consulting Agency in Syphon Filter, Syphon Filter 2, Syphon Filter 3, Syphon Filter: The Omega Strain, Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror and Syphon Filter: Logan’s Shadow.
He served in the 75th Ranger Regiment for 12 years, and fought in Grenada. He met Lian Xing during a mission in Soviet-occupied Afghanistan. He served in the Persian Gulf War, hunting down SCUD missiles in the Iraqi desert. In 1993 he joined the Agency. As of Syphon Filter: The Omega Strain, Gabe is appointed Commander-In-Chief, and reforms the Agency, naming it the International Presidential Consulting Agency.
In Logan’s Shadow, Gabe is shot four times in the chest at the end of the game, when Trinidad opens fire on him and Lian Xing. Gabe jumps in front of Lian firing two shots, killing Trinidad. Trinidad says final words to Lian, and Lian finds Gabe on the ground face down. She rolls him over, Gabe is not breathing. She gives Gabe CPR as the scene ends. Whether Gabe survives is unknown.
Solid Snake From Metal Gear Solid (MGS)
Solid Snake (ソリッド・スネーク Soriddo Sunēku) is a video game character and the main protagonist of the Metal Gear series of video games by Konami. Introduced in the 1987 video game Metal Gear and created by series creator Hideo Kojima, Solid Snake is a combination spy, special operations agent, and mercenary who works for FOXHOUND, a fictional black ops and espionage unit, and Philanthropy in later games. He is repeatedly tasked with disarming and destroying the latest incarnation ofMetal Gear, a bipedal, nuclear-weapon-armed mecha.
Metal Gear Solid sees Solid Snake pulled out of retirement by Colonel Campbell to deal with FOXHOUND. Under the leadership of Liquid Snake, FOXHOUND has gone rogue, seizing Shadow Moses, an isolated American nuclear weapons disposal facility. Snake infiltrates the base and meets up with Meryl Silverburgh, a rookie soldier, and Dr. Hal “Otacon” Emmerich, the designer of Metal Gear REX. Snake defeats each member of FOXHOUND one by one, destroys Metal Gear REX, and confronts Liquid. Liquid reveals that he and Snake both are clones of Big Boss. He then challenges his brother, a confrontation which ends in Liquid’s death.
Agent 47 From Hitman
Agent 47, also known as Mr. 47, is a fictional character and main protagonist of the Hitman video game series, created by IO Interactive, and appears in all four installments.
47’s name is derived from a barcodetattooed on the back of his head (640509-040147), the last two digits of which are “47“. Agent 47 is an assassin working for the International Contract Agency and normally works under aliases during his missions; examples include Tobias Rieper (a play on “the Grim Reaper“), Metzger (German for butcher), Julio, Byrd,Johnson, Jacob Leiter, and Dr. Cropes (an anagram of “corpse”).
47 is an introverted character who almost always speaks in a calm, formal manner (with the exception of Hitman: Blood Money, where he shouted “Bitch!” at Diana when she injected him from behind with a needle). In his natural setting, however, he is usually seen alone.
One of his mottos appears to have become “Trust no one.” He once demonstrated a high degree of devotion to Father Vittorio, the Sicilian priest who gave him shelter in Silent Assassin, going so far as to rescue Vittorio from the Russian mafia even though there was no monetary reward in it (in fact, according to Vittorio, 47 donated a large percentage of his earnings from Hitman: Codename 47 to the Catholic Church). In the end, 47’s work spilled over into the Sicilian church, prompting him to sever his ties with it and become a nomad once more. 47 places a significant measure of trust in his Agency contact and liaison, Diana Burnwood. She is the one character in the whole game series that 47 has constant contact with. As a rule, however, they never meet face-to-face unless absolutely necessary, especially during a mission.
Sam Fisher From Splinter Cell
Samuel Leo Fisher is the fictional main character in the Splinter Cell series of video games and novels.
Sam Fisher is a veteran of the CIA Directorate of Operations and of the U.S. Navy SEAL Team 3. He is 5 feet 10 inches tall (178 cm), weighs 170 pounds, (77 kg) and has green eyes. He was an operative of Third Echelon, a clandestine division of the National Security Agency, up to the conclusion of Splinter Cell Double Agent. Fisher is extremely agile and an expert in the art of stealth. Fisher was the first person to be recruited as a field operative of the “Splinter Cell” program for Third Echelon. He prefers to work alone in the field. Fisher resides in Towson, Maryland, when not on the job. Fisher is a student of the military hand-to-hand combat system of Krav Maga.
as a covert agent of the government, Fisher approaches his target objectives in a gruff, no-nonsense manner, but maintains a light-hearted relationship with his colleagues and even with his momentary hostages (even if he is going to kill them) . Fisher has little patience for government bureaucracy or political maneuvering. A political realist, Fisher maintains a cynical, jaded and sarcastic sense of humor about the covert, illegal, and often morally ambiguous nature of his work. In Pandora Tomorrow, when Lambert informs Fisher that “Nobody knows whether he(Norman Soth)’s a US Agent or a terrorist” Fisher replies that “Those things aren’t mutually exclusive.”
At the same time, he is highly loyal and a staunch believer in the ideals his work ultimately protects. He is quickly angered by the casual slaughter of civilians or unarmed military personnel by his enemies.
Which One Is My Fave?
From the four games title above, my favorite game and character is Agent 47 from Hitman, I think he is very cool, cold, highly skilled weapon user, highly skilled sneaker, he is also capable in open battle with cool style, not only dressing style but style when he shot, especially when he shot the target in front of his nose with cool style and cold face.
